Meet the Family Behind RecruitPathIQ
RecruitPathIQ didn't start in a boardroom. It started in the front seat of a car at 5:30 in the morning, somewhere between a weight room and a softball field, with a family trying to figure out how college recruiting actually works.
Payton: The Reason We Built It
Payton is a sophomore at Bishop Gorman High School and plays for Las Vegas Blast. She has been playing 16U since she was 13, two age groups up.
Playing up taught her to compete against older, stronger athletes. It also put her in the recruiting process earlier than most, and that's where we learned the hardest lesson. When you're young, college coaches often can't even reach out to you. The rules put the burden on the athlete to make the first move, and most athletes are left to figure it out on their own.
We spent nights copy and pasting the same email to dozens of programs, tracking responses in spreadsheets, and wondering which coaches had even opened our messages. So we built her an agent. Then we realized every athlete looking to showcase themselves deserves the same thing: an agent in their corner.
Khloe: Next Up
Khloe is a striker for Albion 15U here in Las Vegas, and she'll be starting her own recruiting process in the coming months. Having two athletes in two different sports showed us that recruiting struggles aren't unique to softball. Every sport has the same problem: great athletes who never get seen.
That's why RecruitPathIQ was built to support athletes across multiple sports, not just one.
Lindsay: The Glue
Every athlete family has one. Lindsay is the glue of our house and a five star Uber driver, getting these girls to practices across town and to tournaments across the country. She has seen every early morning, every long drive home, and every quiet moment after a tough weekend.
Her focus is making sure athletes build confidence and never feel alone going through the recruiting process. That mindset shaped Chilly. Recruiting can feel isolating, especially when your emails go unanswered. Chilly is built to be in the athlete's corner every step of the way.
Ryan: The Builder
For more than a decade, I've run Ntooitive Digital, a Las Vegas digital marketing agency that helps businesses get found online. It turns out recruiting is a marketing problem. An athlete is the product, college coaches are the audience, and the right message at the right time changes everything.
I took what we do for businesses every day and built it for my daughter. Then I realized every parent at every tournament was fighting the same battle.
The Problem Nobody Was Solving: Fit
Here's what surprised us most. Plenty of tools help athletes get seen. Plenty of resources help students pick a college. Almost nothing brings the two together.
Athletic fit asks: can she play there, and will she get on the field? Academic fit asks: does the school offer her major, match her grades, and set her up for life after sports? Most families answer those questions separately, if at all. The result is athletes chasing programs where they'll never play, or committing to schools that don't support what they want to study.
Payton wants to pursue pre-med. A program that wants her glove but doesn't have a strong science track isn't the right fit, no matter how good the softball is. The right school is where both answers line up.
That's the heart of RecruitPathIQ. Chilly matches athletes to programs where athletic fit and academic fit meet, then goes to work getting them in front of those coaches.
Introducing Chilly
Chilly is the AI recruiting agent at the heart of RecruitPathIQ. Chilly builds each athlete's school list based on both athletic and academic fit, writes outreach in the athlete's own voice, tracks coach responses, and flags opportunities, all while the family sleeps.
We couldn't give every athlete a recruiter. So we gave them Chilly. Built for every athlete ready to showcase their talent and have someone in their corner.
What's Next
RecruitPathIQ is now open to families through our founding member beta, and we're partnering with club organizations across the country to bring Chilly to every athlete on every roster.
If you're a parent who has ever wondered if there's an easy way to get your athlete in front of the right coaches, at the right schools, without spending every night in a spreadsheet, there is. We built it for you.
